Using Lifetime Email at Work or Home
|
Since you will already have an email account with your home Internet Service Provider, or at work, using these accounts with your Graduate Lifetime address is easy. Your Home Internet Service Provider (ISP)Setting your graduate email up to work with your home email account is simple. You don't have to change any of the settings in your mail program (such as Outlook, Eudora or Thunderbird) if you already collect mail from your ISP. Set your graduate email to forward to your home mail address (such as john@bigpond.com, or nellie@iinet.net.au). You can also set up your email client to appear to send messages from your graduate address instead of your home address. The process is different for different clients. For Microsoft Outlook, follow these steps: - In Outlook, go into the "Tools" menu, and select "Email Accounts..."
- Select "View or change existing email accounts" and click "OK".
- Select your home email account from the list and click the "Change..." button on the right.
- In the dialog box that comes up, under "User Information", enter your graduate address in the "E-mail Address:" field.
- Click "Next" then click "Finish".
- Send yourself a test message, and check that it appears to be coming from your graduate address.
If you are using an email client other than Outlook (such as Eudora or Thunderbird), contact Email Support for more information. Your WorkYou may be able to receive your graduate email at work. If so, you can just set up your graduate email address to forward to your work email address. Your workplace may permit you to set your From: address to be your graduate address.
