Convocation - the UWA Graduates Association

Many great Universities are defined by their graduate associations, which stand to guard and augment the reputation of their Universities.

All graduates of the University of Western Australia are permanent members of Convocation, the UWA Graduates Association. Through Convocation, graduates have a life-long role in the University of Western Australia. Convocation is one of the four constituent bodies of the University (along with the staff, the students, and the Senate), as defined in the University of Western Australia Act of 1911.

Membership of Convocation is open to members of the academic staff of the University as well as graduates. Community members who aren't graduates can also apply, provided they can demonstrate an ongoing interest in the wellbeing and advancement of the University. Active members of Convocation are entitled to certain benefits.
